This is one of the very popular 1950 Japanese musical lighters Hadson. Arranged it quite interesting: the mechanism, located inside the plant and is equipped with a stopper (the lever at the top of the winding key). In this case, when you press the ignition of the insert extends the pin that lifts the musical mechanism to stop - so if you have a factory in the mechanism, the melody will play herself in the ignition of the flame. Self musical mechanism with spring metal plate which abuts the body inside. The body is made from a fairly lightweight alloy and is like a resonator for the music box - the lighter the volume is large enough (and the mechanism separately, being taken out of the body, plays a very quiet).

Of particular value to this instance also gives the engraving: it belonged to an officer with the U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, and not just the officer and a member of the Officers' Club.
