Scripto lighter was one of the first plastic lighters, and it allows you to visually assess the amount of remaining fuel in it. Its mechanism is equipped with a system to wick fuel swap, for this is a special button on the side of the lighter, while the wick itself was not constantly immersed in the fuel chamber. Such a mechanism virtually eliminates evaporation of gasoline, as in conventional lighters where the wick was inserted directly into the fuel tank.
