Reliable Pocket Lamp, 1890

This is a unique instance - one of the world's first pocket lighters, patented in 1890, even before the invention of the flint. Iskra made it a special tape to fulminate Pistone (rattlesnake acid salts), and with its help ignited wick soaked with gasoline.

That is, now it does not work? the tape had to be changed periodically?

Of course I had to change - as usual in the toy gun caps, for example, the disposable tape :) And one only photography is very difficult to judge its working condition - should certainly fumble this design :)

The shock-flint castle used mineral flint, rather than train tserrievy alloy.
