Lighter Hurricane, 1930

Title: Hurricane

Approximate cost: $ 20-80

Hurricane lighters manufactured in Bradford in 1930, the same time as Zippo, and their production over to the beginning of the 1940s, unable to withstand competition from the Zippo Manufacturing Company. Lighter Century, 1942-1945

Name: Century
Type: Oil Lighters
Material: Steel
Year: 1942-1945
Country: United States
Approximate cost: $ 15-50

Lighter Century - fliptop typical of the Second World War, was produced for the U.S. Army. It was made of steel and coated with a characteristic surface crackle green or brownish-gray color. Some specimens are labeled and CENTURY USA on windshield, and some do not have any labels.

The last instance is particularly interesting and keeps the spirit of its former owner, an American soldier or officer who scratched on the body of the name of his beloved: «MY ETHEL DEAR».

Lighter from the collection of David Gold. Hard to even roughly estimate the cost and rarity of such an instance, but definitely not less than four-digit dollar amount :)

Name: Rogers Rocket Flame
Type: Pipe reactive gasoline lighter
Material: copper, brass
Year of release: 1958

At the output are light, forming a rather long 'reactive' flame side, with which is puff up.
