No matter when purchased lighter, on such topics will be easier to look lighter on Ebeye :) So I saw the lighter here, liked it, and the search begins. If you are not hard, then write firm lighters :)

By the way, the lower semi-automatic, Resealable skin in our time, on the cut can be seen before the skin, as it were 'cooked' in the paint, and the color was the same as on the front side and inside, it's now the paint is put only on the front side.

The fact that it is well restored, but prices are a bit higher if it was not worth the skin would be cheaper :)

It is possible that the skin is changed when coming to be seen if that grandmother will pick up the skin and redo, it is my master:-) On account of the price, do not tell me a few days ago, took Lancel in worse shape with a difference of $ 4, if bear in mind that lighter is not cheap, the price is the same

Beney - this is a very famous and powerful enough English zazhigalkoproizvoditel. Brand appeared in 1938, belonged to Ernest Beni (Uktuye Beney), factory based in Bekengeme, Kent. Ernst Beni personally was the designer of lighters, which were produced under this brand, as well as designer lighters, which were made for Alfred Dunhill and a famous French Hermes of Paris. Until the post-war production IARF Beney considered quite luxurious gizmo if luxury, then at least the upper middle.

In the picture - quite a mass model the early 50's, the patent for it was issued in 1948 in the name of Sturmann, Fritz Werner; Germany; Consulting. Engineer; 67, Parkview Court, London. GB Patent 604345.

In the picture - an early unnamed design. With some variations, it turned into a Beney Saville (after Saville Works, the place where the production).

About England do not know anything.

If a time interval - clearly between 1938 and the 40th year (later, with the entry of Great Britain into the war had passed a law severely limiting the cost of lighters EMNIP one shilling, which is absolutely ruled out the use of brass, the need for military production). Itself liftarmovaya design is quite common for a "premium" cigarette lighters that time (no windshield and inconvenience of using a lighter outside as a hint to us, semi-automatic and all windproof lighters imenovlis "sport"), the same Polo and Dunhill as an example ( even Mosda, which in this segment by any side could not be assigned - but tried, which is already there). We were Beney and model 4D, and model 202 liftarmovye, the latter was a kind of revision of the 88th.

Sabzhevoy had all the glamor - or okleivayut leather (snakeskin, crocodile, etc.), or covered with enamel, sometimes painted. Opportunity to address women (I can not imagine a gentleman of the sample 40-year, enjoying a cigarette lighter in the light Zmina skin with rhinestones, and even in public).

In the picture "an end" - saw two letters E and G - just where it should be written, Made in England (amazing there were times-not wrote Made in UK or GB, a England).

By all indications - it still is the same model, with the "sotoninskim" number. Screw and its location - it could be rannaya version and later, and just such a party. Vseravno because poluruchnom mode, all done ...

Was still very similar Polo - but it looks like that there is another, faceted shape of the tank and the other dished. And this is exactly Beney 666 at some of the versions. I would venture to guess that the first issue - a screw clearly uncomfortable than central, IMHO.

PS. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, as usual, I forgot - it's the "war" issue. Steel, iron, brass, tin instead - not a good life, all cool that they managed to maintain production. That's rotten, has thrown ... as it should iron things.
